Bathurst Regional Council subscribes to a series of demographic information resources designed to inform community groups, investors, business, students and the general public about the characteristics of Bathurst’s population and how they are changing.

The ID profile site consists of 4 sections:

  • Community Profile – provides demographic analysis for Bathurst and its suburbs based on results from the 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Census.
  • Social Atlas – presents Census data as a series of thematic maps that show how particular population groups are distributed across Bathurst Regional Council area.
  • Population Forecasts – The forecasts are designed to provide community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public with knowledge to make confident decisions about the future.
  • Economic Profile – provides economic analysis for the Bathurst Regional Council area by combining 11 different datasets to build a cohesive story of the local economy, how it is changing and how it compares to other areas.
